Living in the Rhythm of Water
conceived as a house that explores the relationship between architecture, nature, and spatial fluidity. Its name comes from the Japanese word mizu, meaning “water,” a concept that inspires the way spaces connect and flow into one another.
Just as water adapts and moves without rigid boundaries, the house seeks to dissolve the limits between interior and exterior, creating a continuous experience between architecture and landscape.
The house is organized around a spacious terrace that functions as the main transitional space between inside and outside.
Within this open platform, the pool becomes the central element of the project, embodying the concept of mizu within the architecture. The water is not only a recreational feature but also a spatial component that reflects light, cools the environment, and enhances the visual relationship between the house and the natural landscape of San Carlos.
The interior spaces open fully toward the terrace, allowing daily life to extend outward. The pool merges with the surrounding garden and vegetation, creating continuity between water, architecture, and nature. In this way.
MIZU proposes a dwelling where water organizes the experience of inhabiting, turning the terrace into the heart of the project and the place where interior, exterior, and landscape converge.
