Balance Between Solidity and Connection
Tsaheylu is conceived through four guiding principles: honesty, connection, solidity, and refuge. The house reveals itself gradually, beginning with a controlled ascent that frames a composition of exposed concrete planes and vertical timber screens.
At its core, a planted void organizes light, circulation, and spatial continuity. Bridges, double-height volumes, and skylit openings allow the house to flow while maintaining structural clarity. Vegetation is not ornamental; it is spatial infrastructure, filtering views, softening transitions, and reinforcing the dialogue between interior and exterior.
Despite its solid exterior expression, the interior unfolds as a protected and intimate environment. Open spaces offer freedom, yet remain grounded in a sense of enclosure and security.
Tsaheylu balances exposure and privacy, mass and lightness, shadow and illumination, resulting in a quiet, essential architecture designed to support family life over time.
